Founded in 1993 by Raleigh-based guitar enthusiast Joshua Davis, Uptempo Acoustics specializes in selling, repairing, and recording stringed instruments. Whether music is your career or your hobby, there’s no better supply shop than Uptempo!
Instruments
Uptempo has a wide range of new and used instruments, including guitars, pianos, harps, and didjeridus. If we don’t have the instrument you want in stock, we’ll be happy to order it for you at no extra charge! Whatever your style or price range, we can get you the instruments you need!
Repairs
A broken instrument is a tragedy, but Uptempo can render it good as new! Bring us your damaged oboe, trumpet, or clarinet and we’ll have it back in working order in a matter of days!
Recording
Is your band ready to take its music to the world? Uptempo’s state-of-the-art recording studio is the perfect place to produce, edit, and market your first album!
Lessons
If you’re new to making music, Uptempo will teach you the skills you need to get started! Our team is trained to play and teach most of the instruments we carry, and if there’s an instrument we can’t play, we’ll put you in touch with an instructor who can!
